Troika Proposes Senior Living Initiative for Valley Road

Troika Management Corp. and Sussex Retirement Living are thrilled to partner on developing a transformative 6-storey, 175-unit senior’s apartment building located at 728 Valley Road. Aligned with Kelowna's Official Community Plan, the venture aims to address the needs of the rapidly growing senior demographic in the Glenmore neighborhood, providing convenient access to amenities and fostering an active living community with a range of indoor and outdoor spaces.

Troika Management Corp. in partnership with Sussex Retirement Living are excited to announce the application submission of the Valley Road project for Development Permit to the City of Kelowna. This transformative venture aims to contribute senior’s housing to the thriving Glenmore neighbourhood, aligning with Kelowna's Official Community Plan and meeting the needs of one of the city's fastest-growing demographics.

Located at 728 Valley Road, Troika and Sussex have proposed the construction of a 6-storey 175-unit senior’s apartment building. This new development maintains the vision of a senior-focused active living community adjacent to Sussex’s existing Long-Term Care residence, The Vineyards. The project's design supports the future development of Kelowna's rapidly gentrifying core neighborhoods and aims to deliver much needed housing for one of Kelowna’s fastest growing and most underserved demographics.

Strategically located in one of Kelowna's central hubs, the proposed senior's apartment offers convenient access to parks, public amenities, golf, transit, and shopping. Future residents will benefit from a shuttle service to the nearby Glenmore Village Center, ensuring easy access to day-to-day services, with downtown Kelowna, Orchard Park Mall, and Kelowna General Hospital easily reachable through the robust transit system.  Residents will also enjoy access to 24/7 concierge and security as well as housekeeping services, ensuring peace of mind for residents and their families.

The proposed building includes multiple interior amenity spaces, lounges, game rooms, fitness and events centers, a top-floor library, wine bar and patio, kitchen and bistro, and a dining area.
